Job Title: SEN Outreach Tutor

Job Summary:

Prospero Teaching is partnering with Local Councils and SEND teams throughout the UK to provide educational support to individuals who are currently out of mainstream education, those seeking additional support, and individuals with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

We are seeking a qualified Tutor with experience in working with students with SEN to provide one-to-one support in Maths and English to students who have been out of education for some time.

The students have a diagnosis of Autism and ADHD, and the Tutor will need to assess their current ability and reintroduce education into their routine while a suitable school provision is found.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support in Maths and English to students with SEN
  • Assess the current ability of students and develop a personalized learning plan
  • Work with students to reintroduce education into their routine
  • Collaborate with Local Councils and SEND teams to ensure a smooth transition for students

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working with students with SEN or disengaged pupils
  • UK classroom teaching experience
  • Ability to think creatively and work outside of the box
