Position Overview
We are excited to announce a new opportunity within our Safety Team for a Food Safety and Health & Safety Manager. This role is essential to our operations and will involve regional travel, with occasional national travel, to support our catering sites across the country.
Key Responsibilities
As the Food Safety and Health & Safety Manager, you will:
- Assist the Health and Safety Director in overseeing all aspects of food safety, health and safety, and allergen management.
- Foster a positive safety culture within your designated area of responsibility.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure safe and compliant working environments.
- Develop and promote initiatives that enhance food safety, health and safety, and allergen management across the organization.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on food safety and health & safety matters.
- Conduct audits, inspections, investigations, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with legal obligations.
- Lead efforts to improve health and safety performance through reporting, training, and effective communication.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A minimum of NVQ Level 4 in Food Hygiene and NVQ Level 4 in Health and Safety.
- At least two years of experience in a Food Safety or Health and Safety role.
- A background in managing food safety across multiple sites is advantageous.
- Experience in contract catering or retail catering environments is desirable.
