The Portfolio Execution Group consists of multiple teams that handle a variety of functions, including trade execution, liquidity management, securities financing, and quantitative research.

This division is divided into three specialized sub-teams: Global Trading Unit (GTU), Balance Sheet Management Group (BMG), and Applied Research Unit (ARU).

Global Trading Unit (GTU)

The GTU is tasked with executing GIC's investment strategies across all public markets.

Its primary objectives include ensuring optimal execution for GIC's portfolio managers and providing valuable market insights that enhance the investment process.

We seek a candidate with a strong background in macro trading to join the GTU team in London, focusing on fixed income trading.

Responsibilities include delivering unique market intelligence on specific sectors and macroeconomic trends to GIC's portfolio managers and senior leadership, facilitating cross-departmental discussions.

Collaboration with colleagues from the Applied Research Unit (ARU) and Technology Group (TG) is essential to leverage GTU's trading data for improved execution and advancements in trading technology.

  • 4-8 years of trading experience, preferably with Macro products.
  • Willingness to assume intra-day and inter-day market timing risks to achieve strong execution results and accountability for decisions made.
  • Enjoyment in collaborating within a diverse team to exchange ideas on execution strategies, market insights, and projects for optimized solutions.
  • Proficiency in Python programming and a passion for data analysis are advantageous.
