Senior Fostering Placements Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Fostering Placements Officer to join our team in a 12-month fixed term capacity. As a key member of our fostering service, you will play a vital role in managing, processing, and updating internal systems, making payments to Foster/Kinship Carers, and coordinating foster placements for children and young people who need to be looked after by the Local Authority.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and process internal systems, ensuring accurate and timely updates.
- Make payments to Foster/Kinship Carers, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate foster placements, working closely with Social Workers, Supervising Social Workers, and Foster carers to identify and match suitable placements for children and young people.
- Take a lead role in the day-to-day matching of in-house foster placement vacancies, ensuring the best possible outcomes for children and young people.
- Education to degree level and previous experience within children social care and fostering services.
- Knowledge of the issues affecting Children Looked After (CLA) and the challenges facing them within the social care system.
- Awareness of the expectations and challenges that foster carers face in providing care for vulnerable children, along with knowledge of relevant fostering legislation and regulations.
