The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse and Logistics Manager to join our team at Indigo Search Limited. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing a complex and fast-paced warehouse and logistics operation in the Brighouse area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of warehouse managers, shift managers, and operatives, as well as interact with transport operatives and drivers.
- Utilize KPIs and processes to manage performance and drive efficiency.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing proactive and collaborative support to meet their needs.
- Manage the financial performance of the operation, including a budget of approximately £1m.
- Recruit, onboard, and retain staff within a logistics setting.
- Use data to inform decisions and provide regular reports to senior management.
The Person:
We are looking for an experienced logistics professional with a strong commercial acumen and ability to manage a team. You should have a proven track record of managing a large team, ideally within a fast-paced distribution environment. Experience in 3PL is beneficial.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Medium level IT proficiency, including MS Excel.
