Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our workforce supply strategy in the east of England. As Head of Workforce Supply, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy to grow our current and future multi-professional workforce through improved recruitment and retention initiatives, and maximising role utilisation in line with NHS Long Term Plan and regional priorities.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a workforce supply strategy that aligns with NHS Long Term Plan and regional priorities
  • Lead and work as part of a dynamic team to deliver an effective workforce supply strategy
  • Establish relationships and work internally and externally with partners including Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), and the Further Education (FE) sector
  • Accountable and responsible for the strategic and operational development of the east of England workforce supply strategy and delivery plan
  • Provide strategic direction and oversight for the design and implementation of a supply improvement programme

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Subject matter expertise and in-depth additional expert knowledge acquired over a significant period of time relating to NHS resourcing and workforce supply initiatives
  • Demonstrable experience of leading and delivering complex change programmes in a politically sensitive and complex environment
  • Significant leadership and management experience at senior level in the NHS or other public healthcare related industry
