Duty Manager Lead

We're seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Duty Manager at Wickes. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the store in the absence of the Operations Manager and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the store.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the store in the absence of the Operations Manager, ensuring that all store routines are completed and that the store is trading legally and safely.
- Support the wider management team in ensuring that key control measures and security practices are managed in accordance with company procedures and policies.
- Complete store routines documents, ensuring that the store is trading legally and safely and that customers' needs are met.
- Manage colleagues, providing day-to-day supervision, motivation, and support, as well as arranging staffing levels and supporting recruitment, induction, and training and development.
- Work with the store leadership team to ensure the whole store operates effectively, supporting the achievement of sales and cost targets.
- Take care of your health and safety and that of others by complying with health and safety obligations and reporting promptly any defects, risks, or potential hazards.
We're looking for someone with experience in running a fast-paced customer-facing environment and who can handle the variety that each day at Wickes brings. You will be highly organized, with a passion for ensuring our customers receive the best service we can deliver, all while inspiring and leading your team.
