Protect the Future of Hospitality

As a Loss Prevention Officer at Marriott International, you will be responsible for safeguarding the most valuable assets within our iconic hotels, including the building itself, its associates, and its guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patrol all areas of the property to ensure the safety and security of guests and employees
  • Monitor Closed Circuit Televisions, perimeter alarm system, duress alarms, and fire life safety system to prevent and respond to security incidents
  • Lock property entrances when required to maintain a secure environment
  • Conduct daily physical hazard inspections to identify and mitigate potential risks
  • Respond to accidents, contact EMS or administer first aid/CPR as required, and assist guests/employees during emergency situations
  • Notify appropriate individuals in the event of accidents, attacks, or other incidents, and defuse guest/employee disturbances
  • Call for outside assistance if necessary, and complete incident reports to document all Security/Loss Prevention related incidents
  • Handle all interruptions and complaints, resolve safety hazard situations, and escort any unwelcome persons from the property without interrupting the orderly flow of property operation
  • Report to scenes of vehicle accidents/thefts, and call for assistance using proper code responses
  • Complete a Loss Prevention shift summary/daily activity report, and maintain confidentiality of all Security/Loss Prevention and property reports/documents; release information only to authorized individuals
  • Conduct investigations and gather evidence, conduct interviews with relevant parties as part of wider security investigations, and awards and recognition celebrations
