About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Scientist to join our Serology Service Team within Blood Sciences at North West London Pathology. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing a professional clinical laboratory service, working effectively as a team member to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the provision of a professional clinical laboratory service, working effectively as a team member to deliver high-quality results.
  • Perform core scientific work, which corresponds to the training and qualifications of a Healthcare Scientist Associate Practitioner.
  • Develop and improve your professional expertise, contributing to the growth and development of our team.
  • Provide basic clinical technical services to patients, including research and audit.
Requirements
  • 2nd class honours degree or equivalent in a biological science, acceptable by the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS).
  • HCPC Registration.
  • Hold the IBMS Specialist Diploma or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
  • 24 months proven experience post Registration in the relevant discipline.
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Practical analytical skills associated with diagnostic laboratory work.
  • Competence in PC word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
  • Reliable and trustworthy, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • A good working knowledge of specialist subjects in relevant disciplines.
  • Use of Pathology computer systems.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
