We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team at Midlands and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit. As a key member of our Business Intelligence Team, you will play a crucial role in providing analytical services to our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist business intelligence services to specific work programmes, determining an approach to achieving established objectives.
- Resolve complex queries where there is a range of possible answers and communicate these complexities to end users, including non-information specialists.
- Identify and prioritize solutions that improve the business intelligence service of the organization.
- Provide analysis and interpretation of data and information to support quality and performance reporting, provider contract monitoring, comparative analysis, patient pathway and scenario modeling, strategic and operational planning, forecasting and predictive modeling.
- Provide analytical support to service redesign/new models of care projects.
- Use information and analysis to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare information on a regular basis to enable the organization to report to relevant Boards, Committees, internal meetings and other external bodies.
- Develop and maintain reporting systems for the organization in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure systems are in place to identify potential issues early, report them to the organization and other responsible managers, and work with them to identify and understand the cause of the issues.
- Lead on the reporting aspects of new initiatives, including interpreting guidance, proposing changes to business intelligence working practices and procedures, identifying action required, and implementing agreed outcomes.
- Provide robust and accurate analyses using data selected from the most appropriate source available and presented in a user-friendly manner through a variety of standard and specialized applications.
- Liaise and discuss the specific requirements for routine reporting with relevant colleagues, offer expert advice and guidance on the most appropriate data sources to use and methods of presentation, and ensure that all routine reports are delivered within agreed timescales.
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of analysts within the Business Intelligence Team and management of the work of analysts supporting the organization as part of a matrix working approach.
- Experience of producing analytical reports for presentation to senior levels within the organization and expertise in using analytical tools to interrogate and present data.
- In-depth and thorough specialist knowledge about the benefits that can be obtained from information systems and the use of intelligence.
- Ability to work without supervision, providing specialist advice to the organization and customers, working to tight and often changing timescales.
- Evidence of having successfully delivered an analysis and insight service.
- Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.
