Commercial Manager - Fuel Supply

MC Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Manager / Fuel Supply Manager to join one of the leading businesses in the energy from waste sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing sufficient fuel for the facility, managing fuel contracts, and overseeing key projects to ensure the facility operates at optimum capacity at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Actively source waste to ensure optimum operation of the EFW plant
  2. Build supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and identify waste opportunities
  3. Schedule and manage waste delivery, ensuring compliance with contracts and adjusting volumes when required
  4. Manage the waste revenue portion of the P&L and contribute to setting budgets
  5. Maintain market knowledge, analyze trends, and ensure compliance with legislation and regulations
  6. Oversee and deliver strategic projects relating to waste & fuel supply in line with the company business plan
Requirements:
  1. 5+ years of experience in a similar level role in the waste management or recycling industry
  2. Experience involving managing waste / fuel / feed stock quality
  3. Experience in sales, business development, or procurement in the waste industry
  4. Experience of dealing with multiple stakeholders and external parties at one time
  5. Significant contract management experience
  6. An understanding of the UK waste industry and relevant policies
  7. Strong relationship management, negotiation, and networking skills
  8. A full UK driving licence is essential for the role due to the travel required to site
