Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated pharmacist to join our team at Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust. As a rotational pharmacist, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of clinical settings, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our pharmacy services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services to specific wards on a rotational basis, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of pharmacy services, including the design and delivery of training programs for pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to the provision of aseptic services, including the preparation and dispensing of cytotoxic and parenteral nutrition medications.
  • Collaborate with other pharmacists, medicines management technicians, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and efficient medication management.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure excellent patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Person Specification
  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council of Great Britain.
  • Vocational master's degree in pharmacy or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in hospital pharmacy or paediatric pharmacy services, with a strong understanding of clinical pharmacy principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
