Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Pharmacy Team at Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust, a leading provider of healthcare services for children and young people.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated pharmacist to join our dedicated paediatric Pharmacy department, where you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide a high-quality medicines optimisation service to children in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, and the surrounding areas.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

As a pharmacist in this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing clinical pharmacy services to specific wards on a rotational basis
  • Training in aseptic services to contribute to the cytotoxic, CIVAS, and PN services
  • Working with other pharmacists, medicines management technicians, assistants, pre-registration pharmacists, and a wider multidisciplinary team
  • Participating in the provision of an on-call service on a rotational basis, together with weekend and Bank Holiday services

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council of Great Britain
  • A vocational master's degree in pharmacy, pre-registration training, and experience
  • Desirable: membership of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain, membership of the Neonatal and Paediatric Pharmacy group (NPPG), and IT qualification ECDL
