Key Responsibilities- Procurement and Contract Management: Manage the briefing and contracting timetable with the Product teams, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery of contracted products.
- Supplier Relationship Development: Develop and maintain key supplier relationships, working closely with the Product teams to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Agreement Negotiation: Drive agreements that are regularly reviewed and negotiated to secure industry-leading rates and unique products.
- Market Analysis and Research: Develop a travel timetable to research and negotiate product briefs, creating new supplier opportunities and strengthening current agreements.
- Destination Analysis: Monitor destination arrival statistics and seek strategic initiatives to drive incremental market share.
- Operational Viability: Agree and take ownership of processes with the Operational team to ensure contracted products are operationally viable and provide an excellent customer journey.
- Sales and Revenue Growth: Develop sales, room night, rate data, year on year, competitor analysis, and recommend rate requirements to aid negotiations.
- Risk Management: Communicate risks and recommendations to the Director team to ensure informed decision-making.
- Customer Feedback and Improvement: Review customer feedback and look for ways to improve ground products and the customer journey with the Product and Service team.
- Complaint Resolution: Manage customer complaint escalations and drive compensation recovery where appropriate from suppliers.
- Pricing Strategy and Margin Management: Understand the pricing strategy, margins, and volumes associated with each contracted product.
- Up-Sell Strategy: Own the contracting plan to support the Up-Sell Strategy (post-booking/pre-departure sales).
- A passion for the worldwide travel sector.
- Experience in contracting, negotiating, and maintaining new supplier partnerships.
- Strong pro-active, dynamic, passionate, and a team player.
- Experience in negotiation skills preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, plus excellent numeric ability.
- Excellent attention to detail, innovative thinker, and creative problem solver.
- Ability to undertake travel abroad when required by the business.
