If this resonates with you, Church & Dwight is thrilled to invite a skilled Lead Microbiologist to join our Quality Department.

We are on the lookout for a highly qualified and enthusiastic Lead Microbiologist with prior experience in a laboratory setting within a regulated sector (such as FMCG, Pharmaceuticals, or Medical Devices) or a closely related area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster teamwork aligned with business objectives.
  • Serve as the primary contact for microbiological inquiries.
  • Ensure laboratory personnel adhere to relevant protocols and ISO standards.
  • Conduct microbiological assessments on production materials.
  • Oversee microbiological surveillance in production and filling areas.
  • Collect and analyze samples from RO process water and seawater deliveries.
  • Investigate contaminated samples to identify bacterial profiles.
  • Maintain precise records and generate clear reports.
  • Uphold a sanitized working environment in compliance with established procedures.
  • Execute and compile data from environmental testing.
  • Assist in internal investigations necessitating microbiological analysis.
  • Engage in validation processes.
  • Support the management of microbiological documentation.
  • Advocate for safe and compliant work practices.
  • Act as a representative for the QC Manager when required.
  • Promote strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the laboratory's 5S initiative.
  • Undertake additional reasonable tasks related to the role.

The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of GMP and ISO standards, alongside familiarity with quality management tools such as Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, and CAPA. A minimum of A levels in a scientific discipline is required. Strong planning, communication, and organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. The successful applicant must be adept at maintaining accurate laboratory documentation and effectively communicating with various departments.

This position entails a commitment of 39 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
