We are looking for a highly qualified and driven Lead Microbiologist with a background in laboratory settings within regulated industries such as FMCG, Pharmaceuticals, or Medical Devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate effectively with team members to meet business objectives.
  • Serve as the primary contact for microbiological inquiries.
  • Ensure laboratory personnel are competent and compliant with established procedures and ISO standards.
  • Conduct microbiological assessments on production materials.
  • Oversee microbiological surveillance in production and filling areas.
  • Collect and analyze samples from RO process water and seawater deliveries.
  • Investigate contaminated samples to identify bacterial profiles.
  • Maintain precise records and generate clear reports.
  • Uphold a clean working environment in line with protocols and regulations.
  • Execute and compile data from environmental assessments.
  • Assist in internal investigations requiring microbiological analysis.
  • Engage in validation activities.
  • Support the management of microbiological documentation.
  • Advocate for safe and compliant work practices.
  • Act as a delegate for the QC Manager when required.
  • Promote Church & Dwight strategies.
  • Contribute to the laboratory's 5S program.
  • Undertake additional reasonable duties as needed.

The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of GMP and ISO standards, along with familiarity with quality tools such as Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, and CAPA. A minimum of A levels in a scientific discipline is required. Strong planning, communication, and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. The successful candidate must be adept at maintaining accurate laboratory documentation, ensuring safety and effectiveness within a small team, and communicating proficiently across various departments.

This position entails a commitment of 39 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
