This is an exceptional opportunity to become part of a dynamic and expanding organization within a specialized sector as a Technician at their operational facility.

Our client has a rich history of over a century in the design, installation, and maintenance of timekeeping devices for clients globally. Comprehensive training will be provided, along with a competitive remuneration package of up to £30,000 annually.

The main office is located in the South East, with occasional travel required for site visits, including rare international assignments. Their projects can be found in prominent locations worldwide as well as in charming local settings.

Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday from 7am to 5:30pm, with potential adjustments for weekend work as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform repair, maintenance, and servicing of various large public clock and bell systems.
  • Exercise caution regarding the diverse risks present on unfamiliar sites, adhering to specific risk assessments and health and safety protocols.
  • Work at heights and utilize ladders, scaffolding, cherry pickers, and other access equipment.
  • Assist in the assembly and disassembly of scaffolding on-site.
  • Ensure that risk assessments address all potential hazards and communicate any additional risks to the office.
  • Report any site-related challenges that could impact future operations, including access issues and safety concerns.
  • Possess a valid clean driving license and be eligible for a background check.
  • Ideally hold a City & Guilds qualification at level 1 or 2 in engineering or a related field.
  • Demonstrate general engineering and mechanical knowledge.
  • Have experience with manual machining and basic machine upkeep.
  • Be comfortable working from heights using ladders and scaffolding.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Be a collaborative team member who can also work independently and inspire others.
