Job Title: Senior Practitioner Mental Health Social Worker / AMHP

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Practitioner Social Worker/ AMHP to join our Bethnal Green Neighbourhood Mental Health Team. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality mental health services to adults aged 18-65 in the Northwest area of Tower Hamlets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Team Manager in driving forward the delivery of strength-based models of practice, maximizing the use of service users' individual strengths, and that of their support networks, community resources, and universal services.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of comprehensive programmes of treatment and continuing care for clients.
  • Collaborate with health and social staff, as well as other agencies, to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on mental health issues, including the Care Programme Approach, Mental Health Act, and Mental Capacity Act.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with service users, their families, and carers.

Requirements:

  • A recognised social work qualification and registration with SW England.
  • Experience of working in a community mental health setting, with a focus on strength-based models of practice.
  • Excellent needs and risk assessment skills, with the ability to work with complex cases.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • An enhanced DBS Certificate, satisfactory to Tower Hamlets.
