Mammography Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Mammography Specialist to join our dynamic team at Kings College NHS foundation Trust. As a Band 7 Mammographer, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality mammography services, leading on the delivery of screening and diagnostic mammograms, and participating in quality assurance programs to maintain the highest standards of care.
Key Responsibilities- Clinical Excellence: Perform high-quality mammographic imaging in both screening and symptomatic settings, adhering to best practice guidelines.
- Leadership: Provide leadership and supervision to junior staff and students, ensuring continuous professional development and a supportive learning environment.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in regular quality control and assurance checks, contributing to service audits and ensuring compliance with national screening standards.
- Patient Care: Deliver compassionate and respectful care to all patients, addressing their concerns and ensuring a positive experience during their mammography appointments.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with Radiologists, Breast Care Nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless service for patients.
- Service Development: Actively contribute to the development and implementation of new protocols and procedures to enhance service delivery.
- Extensive experience in mammography, including screening and symptomatic imaging.
- Postgraduate qualification in Mammography.
We offer a range of benefits, including a £250 referral fee bonus for any nurse you refer who we place in to work on a 3 month contract, and a £400 sign up bonus for any new nurses that register with our agency. We also provide DBS disclosures via fast track online services free of charge, and offer £250 training allowance, Excellent pay rates, and Ltd and PAYE payment options.
