Role and Responsibilities:

As an Electrical and Mechanical Systems Maintenance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of our electrical and mechanical systems. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and managing Planned Preventative Maintenance schedules to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Conducting thorough inspections and maintenance of all building structures, machinery, and equipment to ensure they are in safe and functional condition.
  • Performing repairs and maintenance on existing machinery, jigs, and fixtures to uphold high-quality production standards.
  • Collaborating with Mechanical and Electrical Contractors on-site while adhering to permit control protocols.
  • Establishing work procedures and standards for electrical and mechanical systems to streamline operations.
  • Responding promptly to machinery breakdowns and documenting production issues for future reference.
  • Assisting the Technical Resources Services Department with the installation of new equipment in an advisory capacity.

Required Skills and Experience:

Candidates should possess the following qualifications and experiences:

  • Strong electrical background complemented by a solid understanding of mechanical systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate sensitive situations effectively.
  • Familiarity with machine shop equipment in a manufacturing support context, particularly related to jigs, tools, and production equipment.
  • Proven experience and technical knowledge in maintaining processes, equipment, fittings, and all jigs and fixtures.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities to quickly identify and resolve production-related issues using appropriate diagnostic methods.
  • Capability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong decision-making skills and accountability for actions taken.

Working Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Overtime Compensation: 1.5x for Saturday work and 2x for Sunday work
