Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Specialist

Job Overview:

Caterpillar is seeking a skilled Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Stockton site. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment, ensuring that all factory equipment, including lasers, CNC machinery, and general jigs and fixtures, are well-maintained and in working condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Planned Preventative Maintenance Schedules to minimize downtime and ensure high-quality production.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical and mechanical equipment, including machines, jigs, and fixtures, to ensure capability and repeatability.
  • Work with electrical and mechanical contractors on site to ensure safe and efficient maintenance practices.
  • Develop and maintain work procedures and standards for electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Respond to machinery breakdowns and log production issues to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Support the Technical Resources Services Department in the installation of new equipment.

Requirements:

  • Electrically biased with a good mechanical understanding.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to quickly identify and resolve production-related problems.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to make decisions and have accountability for actions.
