The Opportunity

As a Trainee Manager at Majestic, you will participate in a comprehensive 12-month development program designed to equip you with the skills and experience necessary to excel as a future Store Manager. You will receive guidance from your Store Manager as you navigate through our career pathway training.

Key Responsibilities

At Majestic Wine, our customers are central to our mission. In this role, you will serve as an ambassador for the store, collaborating with your team to provide an outstanding shopping experience for every customer.

  • Enhance store performance by maximizing sales opportunities and optimizing key performance indicators (KPIs) to exceed targets.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to foster loyalty and encourage repeat business.
  • Provide a personalized service to customers, keeping them informed about product updates and tasting events.
  • Share your passion for our products by engaging customers with in-depth knowledge and managing tasting events effectively.
  • Take initiative in expanding your wine knowledge to support your WSET qualifications and boost your confidence in sales.
  • Maintain the store's appearance and ensure it meets high standards both inside and out.
  • Engage in all operational tasks to gain a thorough understanding of daily store operations, from product delivery to customer outreach.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for improvement to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Adhere to all compliance and safety regulations by following internal policies and completing required training.
  • Take charge of your personal development by utilizing available resources and support.
  • Exemplify Majestic's core values and provide support to junior team members, offering feedback to your Store Manager as needed.

Required Knowledge & Skills

  • Experience in a team-oriented, fast-paced retail or hospitality environment.
  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize in high-pressure situations.
  • Self-motivated and capable of thriving both independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive attitude with a commitment to finding solutions.
  • Adaptability and resilience to meet the dynamic demands of our business.
  • Excellent communication and time management abilities.
  • Wine knowledge is advantageous, but a willingness to learn is essential for achieving WSET qualifications.
  • A valid UK/EU/EEA driving license with a clean record for at least 12 months.
