Electrical Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our team at G4S Business Unit:US Youth Services. As an Electrical Supervisor, you will play a critical role in leading and overseeing a team of Electrical Engineers on a mobile basis across various sites within our Hinkley Point C contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Electricians in completing all Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities in a timely manner and in line with contract Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and statutory compliance.
  • Carry out set-to-works, permit-to-works where necessary, and supervise reactive, PPM, and minor project tasks.
  • Quality check and sign off on minor, new installations, and Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs).
  • Ensure the Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) register is updated.
  • Help formulate quotes to upgrade existing systems and equipment that are at capacity as well as to install on new minor works projects.
  • Liaise with specialist sub-contractors and set-to-works to enable servicing.
  • Operate planned maintenance procedures for assets effectively and safely within their range of qualifications, training, and experience.
  • Deal effectively and safely with breakdowns and damage to assets within their range of qualifications, training, and experience as required and by out-of-hours response where necessary.
  • Write up reports and technical procedures for Building Maintenance Activities.
  • Assist in the training and development of other maintenance/technical staff involved in site maintenance activities.
  • Maintain inspection and repairs to various types of heating, water, ventilation, electrical, mechanical, and security systems.
  • Diagnose faults on all electrical support systems and rectify where necessary within levels of competence.
  • Participate in emergency call-out arrangements in respect of Integrated Facilities Management Systems on the maintained sites.

Requirements:

  • Experience of building and facilities maintenance.
  • C&G 2360/2330 NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Full, clean driving license.
  • C&G 2396 Level 4 Design and Verification of Electrical Installations or equivalent.
