Job Overview

Position: Electrical Project Engineer

Location: Nationwide with travel requirements

Compensation: £70,000 plus vehicle allowance and travel package

Fourblue is collaborating with a prominent Independent Connection Provider (ICP) that is facilitating connections for electrical initiatives across the UK. With a robust pipeline of projects extending into the foreseeable future, this is an excellent opportunity to become part of a dynamic and expanding team. You will engage in a diverse array of projects, including but not limited to, Renewable Energy installations (such as wind, solar, Battery Energy Storage Systems, and Storage Power), Industrial & Commercial (I&C) projects, and Electric Vehicle (EV) charging solutions up to 132kV.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee effective project management and execution across a variety of high-voltage electrical projects, maintaining communication with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
  • Develop project construction schedules and manage activities in alignment with these timelines.
  • Participate in site progress meetings, coordinating efforts and conducting inspections to ensure quality and adherence to timelines.
  • Manage the financial aspects of projects, ensuring alignment with budgets and providing forecasts for financial reporting.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to meet project objectives and client expectations.
  • Lead in-house design and engineering teams to create equipment layouts, designs, cable schedules, and testing procedures.
  • Engage with suppliers and manufacturers regarding design, installation, and commissioning, and obtain competitive bids from the supply chain.
  • Handle procurement processes for project needs.
  • Identify and organize resource and logistical requirements for successful project execution.
  • Provide guidance to all stakeholders on compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience with an ICP, IDNO, or DNO, with a focus on projects up to a minimum of 33kV.
  • Proven track record in managing projects within a related industry.
  • Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Valid UK Driving Licence.
