The organization is in search of a seasoned Lead Electrical Project Engineer to join their Plant Electrical Design team, possessing a proven history of delivering extensive power system and equipment packages for HVDC, Substation, and Electrification projects, to bolster the company's growing project portfolio in the UK.

They offer a complete range of services, from initial system designs and equipment specification to system studies, testing, project management, and system commissioning.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of HV equipment, cabinets, circuit boards, and controls, with experience overseeing the entire project lifecycle, including technical specifications, bill of materials, and documentation processes.

Additional benefits include a 10% Annual Bonus, a robust pension scheme (10% employer contribution), 25 days of annual leave plus public holidays (with an option to purchase 5 additional days), and a flexible working arrangement (2-3 days in the office).

Key responsibilities include the delivery of auxiliary power systems within HVDC stations, supporting the Electrical Design team's tasks, and collaborating with various departments, clients, and suppliers.

Deliver electrical systems that are commercially and legally optimized, adhering to grid codes and client specifications, through a comprehensive understanding of the project's technical requirements.


Responsibilities include:

- Developing single line diagrams for auxiliary power systems
- Conducting load calculations
- Specifying and dimensioning equipment
- Performing supplier design reviews
- Overseeing Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs)
- Designing cable layouts
- Supervising on-site installation and commissioning.

Experience with Auxiliary Transformers, MV & LV Switchgear, Generator Systems, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), and cabling is essential.

A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline is required.
Desirable knowledge includes Auxiliary Power Systems, Selectivity Studies, and the Installation/Commissioning of LV/MV equipment.
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 2 years of experience leading similar projects.
