Job Summary:

The Occupational Inclusion Specialist will work with employers across a geographical area to deliver support, advice, and guidance on occupational support interventions to enable transition into secure, suitable, and sustainable employment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and build relationships with key employers in the local labour market to promote, influence, and advise on how to ensure occupations are more inclusive and accessible to individuals with physical and/or mental health conditions, disabilities, and wellbeing needs.
  • Offer tailored Health and Wellbeing in-work support packages to participants and employers.
  • Deliver performance against agreed targets, including employer engagement, service, and quality.
  • Evaluate and identify opportunities to support companies' staff wellbeing initiatives, such as training opportunities and awareness sessions.
  • Encourage employers to become disability confident and engage in initiatives like the Better Health at Work Awards.
  • Use wage-grant budget to incentivize employers to take on participants with complex needs.

Requirements:

  • A great communicator with enthusiasm, confidence, and a results-driven approach, putting the participant at the heart of everything.
  • Awareness and understanding of health and wellbeing and disability initiatives to support individuals into employment.
  • Understanding of employer needs, experience of training needs analysis, and organisational needs analysis.
  • Ability to exhibit sound judgement, initiative, and drive to self-manage and achieve performance targets.
  • Resilience and determination to seek out job opportunities, coach, and motivate participants in a busy working environment.
  • Rapport building, quality, and compliance.
