About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Communications and Advocacy Manager. This is a critical role that will play a key part in delivering our global thought leadership objectives and influencing international finance for climate resilience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Deliver Communications Strategy: Take the lead on developing and delivering the Accelerator's communications and advocacy strategy, ensuring awareness of the RWA's objectives and work.
  • Enable Impactful Advocacy: Co-lead on strategic engagement with key institutions, including national governments, multilateral banks, and UN bodies, to ensure impactful advocacy and policy influence.
  • Support Partnerships: Liaise regularly with key partners, including Arup, Sustainable Markets Initiative, FCDO water team, CDP, and others, to co-ordinate external communications efforts and support partnerships.
Requirements
  • Experience in Communications and Advocacy: Proven experience in developing and delivering communications and advocacy strategies, with a strong track record of success.
  • Policy and Evidence Analysis: Ability to assess policy documents and evidence, summarising and pulling out relevant information in an accessible way.
  • Event Organisation: Experience of organising events and managing internal comms, online and social media engagement.
  • Team Player: Strong team player with a willingness to be flexible and respond to changing priorities.
