About the Position

In collaboration with Partners and Directors, you will oversee the relationship between a portfolio of clients and the firm, ensuring that the established expectations regarding service, quality, and cost are consistently met.   • Identifying and advising on VAT optimization strategies, while undertaking specialized technical assignments as required.
  • Promptly addressing client inquiries and keeping both clients and partners updated on the progress of VAT-related tasks.
  • Acting as the primary contact for clients on VAT issues, ensuring a consistently high level of client service.
  • Managing tasks assigned by the Partner or Director.
  • Coordinating effectively with other departments.
  • Monitoring work in progress reports closely to ensure profitability and timely client invoicing.
  • Enhancing your technical expertise through relevant readings and training, while staying informed about the firm's services and publications.
  • Identifying, attracting, and converting potential clients, and assisting other departments in crafting proposals for new projects.
  • Actively participating in client seminars and efficiently following up on connections made.
  • Supporting quality control and review processes, as well as managing departmental administration when necessary.
  • Engaging in staff meetings and mandatory training sessions.
  • Maintaining awareness of Health and Safety issues within the firm and reporting any concerns to the designated representative.
  • Performing any additional duties within the scope of the role as requested by the line manager or Head of Department.

About the Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess prior experience at the Manager or Associate Director level in VAT, along with a proven record of generating new business or maximizing revenue from existing clients. You should be comfortable mentoring junior staff and promoting a positive team atmosphere. Key qualities include:

  • Ability to build and develop a team of VAT professionals.
  • Strong business insight with a demonstrated ability to achieve targets.
  • Outstanding communication and influencing skills, with a proven history of effective client management.
