In collaboration with Partners and Directors, you will oversee the relationship between a portfolio of clients and the firm, ensuring that the clients' expectations regarding service, quality, and costs are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:
- Identifying and advising on VAT optimization strategies, and executing specialized technical assignments as necessary.
- Prioritizing client correspondence and keeping both the client and partner updated on the status of VAT-related tasks.
- Serving as the primary contact for clients regarding VAT inquiries, ensuring exceptional client service at all times.
- Completing tasks assigned by the Partner or Director.
- Facilitating effective communication with other departments.
- Monitoring work progress reports closely to ensure profitable recoverability of services rendered and timely billing of clients.
- Advancing your technical expertise through relevant reading and training, while maintaining awareness of the firm's offerings, brochures, and publications.
- Identifying, engaging, and converting potential clients, as well as assisting other departments in the research and preparation of formal proposals for new business.
- Actively participating in client seminars and effectively following up with contacts made.
- Assisting in quality control processes and departmental administration as needed.
- Attending staff meetings and training sessions as required.
- Being aware of and adhering to Health and Safety protocols within the firm, reporting any concerns to the designated Health and Safety Representative.
- Performing any additional duties that align with the role's scope, spirit, and purpose, as requested by the line manager or Head of Department.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will possess prior experience at the Manager or Associate Director level within VAT, along with a proven track record of generating new business and/or unlocking fees from existing clients. You will be adept at mentoring junior staff and fostering a positive team environment. Key attributes include:
- Ability to build and nurture a team of VAT professionals.
- Strong commercial acumen with the capability to set and achieve targets.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with demonstrated experience in client management.
