About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Architectural Technologist to join our in-house design team at Willmott Dixon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and producing detailed technical drawings and specifications for a wide range of building typologies and superstructure types.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and produce detailed technical drawings and specifications to stage 4/5 level of detail.
  • Support project teams with the deployment and use of standard details, ensuring compliance with UK Building Regulations and associated standards.
  • Liaise with external consultants and internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Attend site visits and Willmott Dixon offices throughout the country to provide technical expertise and support.
  • Contribute to the development of our existing Department for Education (DfE) design platform.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Architectural Technologist or similar role.
  • Strong technical knowledge, specification, and material knowledge.
  • Ability to produce detailed technical drawings and specifications.
  • Understanding of current Building Regulations, Building Safety Act, and Warranty Guidance.
  • Capability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience within the Department for Education, Residential, Leisure, or Healthcare sectors.
