We are pleased to announce an opportunity for a Summary Process Unit Legal Assistant within the Crime & Justice Division at Notts Police.

Role Overview: The primary responsibility of this position is to represent and prosecute low-level traffic violations in court through the Police Led Prosecution initiative. When not engaged in court proceedings, the Legal Assistant will provide guidance and support to officers and staff regarding traffic-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Present cases in court with factual accuracy and uphold high standards in compliance with legal and organizational requirements.
  • Assist officers and staff with inquiries related to traffic matters.
  • Manage and prioritize workload effectively to meet court deadlines.

Candidate Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Exceptional communication abilities.
  • A law degree or a minimum of five years of relevant experience in the Criminal Justice field.
  • Proficiency in computerized word processing and database management systems.
  • Strong skills in data collection and information management.
  • The capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
