This includes supervision, training opportunities, and practice sessions.
The work of an AMHP is not always easy, and we understand the importance of taking care of ourselves.
We take your wellbeing seriously and have Wellbeing Champions based across Adult Social care who understand when you may need some additional support.
The role will involve a blended approach to office and home working to meet the needs of the service and yourself.
IT will be provided to ensure comfortable working environments both at home and in the office.
As a local authority, we are committed to flexible working and always promote a healthy work-life balance.
The EDS primary role is to undertake Mental Health Act assessments and provide emergency adult social care cover for the local authority out of hours.
This includes emergency housing, safeguarding, and working with the police in domestic violence and crisis situations.
Your professional expertise and approach will ensure individual needs and aspirations are always supported, risk is managed proportionately, and safeguarding is of paramount importance.
You will require working knowledge of the Mental Health Act (1983), Mental Capacity Act (2005), Care Act (2014), Human Rights Act, and SEND Legislation.
You must hold a Social Work England recognised qualification (or equivalent with your professional body) and have evidence that you are registered with Social Work England.
You must be qualified as an Approved Mental Health Professional.
Travel is an essential part of this job, and you will be required to travel across Kirklees.
