Overview

We are seeking a dedicated professional to oversee and optimize our logistics operations. This role is crucial in ensuring the effective management of resources, materials, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Logistics Coordinator, you will:

  • Lead and motivate the logistics team to meet operational goals and performance metrics.
  • Ensure the safety and competency of all staff through proper training and oversight.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in safety, asset performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels to prevent shortages that could disrupt service delivery.
  • Oversee the management of storage facilities, ensuring they are safe and organized.
  • Implement waste reduction strategies and ensure compliance with disposal standards.
  • Monitor and report on recurring issues with equipment and materials.
  • Manage the upkeep of small machinery and tools, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
  • Conduct regular inspections of all operational facilities to ensure compliance with maintenance standards.
  • Act as the primary contact for projects related to accommodation and infrastructure.
  • Drive initiatives aimed at enhancing the management of resources and equipment.
  • Conduct safety tours and monitor staff adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Strong understanding of logistics methodologies and practices.
  • Familiarity with equipment specifications and operational standards.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Desirable:

  • Experience with relevant IT systems used in logistics.
  • Understanding of railway operations.
  • Familiarity with supplier contracts and agreements.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance and delivery processes.
