Our client, a leading technology-focused investment firm, is seeking an Application Support Engineer with a robust technical background in trading systems and a keen interest in global financial markets. This role encompasses support for equity, credit, and interest rate derivatives trading platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure uninterrupted operation of trading applications with minimal service interruptions.
- Provide technical support to trading teams utilizing a multi-platform environment.
- Coordinate and manage software release processes.
- Enhance the efficiency of processes and systems.
- Manage incidents through effective troubleshooting.
- Create and maintain documentation for operational procedures.
- Automate software configurations and strive for impeccable change management.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Front office experience supporting trading systems (L2/L3).
- Interest: General interest in financial markets.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of equities and derivatives.
- Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Bloomberg TOMS.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Linux, SQL, and Python.
- Education: A degree in computing or a related discipline.
