Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team in a vibrant Lancaster primary school. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting students' educational journeys and contributing to their academic and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide general support to students in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
- Assist with classroom activities, helping to create an engaging learning environment
- Work with individual students and small groups to support their learning needs
- Help prepare classroom materials and set up learning activities
- Monitor and assist with student progress and behaviour
- Support teachers in delivering lessons and managing the classroom
- Supervise children during lunchtime and when entering and leaving school premises
- Enhanced child DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one
- Eligibility to work in the UK (please note that sponsorship is unavailable for this role)
- Previous experience in educational settings, particularly schools
- Two recent professional references
- Experience working with young people
- Strong class management skills
- Ability to engage and motivate children
- TA qualification
