Teaching Assistant Opportunity in Lancaster

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team in a vibrant Lancaster primary school. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting students' educational journeys and contributing to their academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide general support to students in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
  • Assist with classroom activities, helping to create an engaging learning environment
  • Work with individual students and small groups to support their learning needs
  • Help prepare classroom materials and set up learning activities
  • Monitor and assist with student progress and behaviour
  • Support teachers in delivering lessons and managing the classroom
  • Supervise children during lunchtime and when entering and leaving school premises
Requirements:
  • Enhanced child DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (please note that sponsorship is unavailable for this role)
  • Previous experience in educational settings, particularly schools
  • Two recent professional references
  • Experience working with young people
  • Strong class management skills
  • Ability to engage and motivate children
  • TA qualification
