Job Title: Healthcare Assistant/Learning Support

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Healthcare Assistant/Learning Support to join our team at Brockenhurst College. As a key member of our staff, you will provide essential support to students with complex needs, ensuring their safety, well-being, and academic success.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high levels of personal care, respecting the dignity and autonomy of individuals.
  • Assist with intimate personal care, manual handling, and implementation of physiotherapy programs.
  • Administer medication, first aid, and mental health first aid as required.
  • Support students with specific hygiene, medical, and personal care needs.
  • Liaise with tutors to ensure differentiated learning and support students' access to required areas.
  • Contribute to student progress records and assist with exams, tests, and other assessments.
Requirements:
  • GCSE standard in Maths and English.
  • Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • Experience in healthcare or social care environments, preferably with students with complex needs.
  • Safe manual handling, hoist operation, and intimate personal care skills.
  • First aid, mental health first aid, and medication administration training.
