About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Copywriter to join our team at Amazon Ads Brand Innovation Lab. As a Copywriter, you will be responsible for leading one-of-a-kind campaigns for global brands from creative brief to launch. You will work closely with a team of art directors, copywriters, designers, program managers, and content producers to create innovative work that benefits the end customer while pushing the creative envelope.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Define the creative strategy for multiple advertisers
  2. Concept, design, and execute innovative ad campaigns and experiences for global brands-from developing the creative brief to launching the campaign.
  3. Independently direct campaigns and collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external agency partners
  4. Partner with art directors, designers, program managers, developers, and content producers to create customer-focused solutions that deliver on advertiser objectives
  5. Deliver high-quality copy for campaigns across different Amazon touch-points
  6. Provide in-depth understanding of copywriting for all formats-digital, print, out-of-home, video and audio scripts, and more
  7. Synthesize strategic research and/or data to develop campaign ideas
  8. Lead the creation of presentations; present ideas and concepts to clients, agencies, and internally
  9. Make creative trade-off decisions between teams, clients, and end-customer needs
  10. Mentor and inspire other creatives
Requirements
  1. 5+ years of copywriting experience in an agency or in-house setting delivering stand-out creative work on campaigns across a variety of digital and traditional touch-points
  2. An available online portfolio
  3. Proven ability to ideate for film, print, digital, out-of-home, experiential and social
  4. Passion for experimentation and innovation
  5. Ability to juggle many projects and consistently deliver results despite competing priorities
  6. Experience driving creative alignment with leadership and stakeholders
  7. Exceptional writing skills that demonstrate the ability to create campaign content that attracts, retains, and grows an audience
  8. Outstanding verbal and written communications skills
  9. Relentlessly high creative standards and exceptional attention to detail
  10. Excellent presentation skills and ability to gracefully defend creative decisions to leadership
  11. An understanding of creative development timelines and production process
  12. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly entrepreneurial environment with multiple different stakeholders and regulatory requirements

Brand Innovation Lab is an internal, international group within Amazon Ads that creates one-of-a-kind campaigns and activations for global advertisers like Universal Studios, Warner Bros, McDonald's, LEGO, Uber Eats, and more. We create campaigns that reach millions of Amazon customers across our digital channels and out in the real world.
