Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join the National Nuclear Laboratory as an Electrical Design Engineer. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in the design and development of electrical systems for our nuclear projects.

Main Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical systems for nuclear projects, including control panels, electrical equipment, and instrumentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure electrical systems meet safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design calculations, schematics, and operation and maintenance manuals.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to technicians and craft personnel.
  • Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to procure electrical equipment and materials.
  • Contribute to the development of new technologies and processes to improve electrical system design and performance.
Requirements
  • Degree in Electrical, Control, and Instrumentation Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with 2D CAD design packages, preferably AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of safety legislation, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to the development of new technologies and processes.
