Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electronics Assembler to join our team at AMETEK. As an Electronics Assembler, you will be responsible for building electrical assemblies to technical drawings, SOPs, and CMMs, inspecting and testing finished products, and upgrading and repairing mechanical and/or electrical assemblies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build electrical assemblies to technical drawings, SOPs, and CMMs
  • Inspect and test finished products to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Upgrade and repair mechanical and/or electrical assemblies
  • Maintain equipment used in electronic assembly
  • Perform mechanical assembly work to drawing and/or CMMs
  • Electro/mechanical work, fan/motors, and/or heaters to drawing and/or CMMs
  • Use basic hand tools and measuring equipment
  • Assemble and test electronic components and systems according to specifications
  • Conduct tests and inspections to identify and troubleshoot any issues
  • Adhere to all company manufacturing procedures
  • Complete all relevant documentation
  • Provide information or assistance to customers, suppliers, and visitors
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement and 5S activities
  • Use personal protective equipment as required
  • Carry out all activities in a timely manner to ensure company manufacturing targets are achieved
  • Take on ad hoc duties, including training colleagues and brief secondments to other departments
Requirements
  • Ability to read and understand drawings and/or CMMs and/or SOPs
  • Ability to work from SOPs in tandem with drawings
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English
  • Experience in electronic assembly
  • Familiarity with electronic components
  • Attention to detail
  • Knowledge of electronic assembly tooling
  • Soldering skills on small components
  • Experience in assembling small components
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Methodical/logical
  • Good time management
  • Able to communicate at all levels
