Position Overview

Carnegie Consulting is a prominent asset management firm seeking a qualified financial professional to join our team. We are looking for a certified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) to fulfill a temporary role focused on revenue management. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing income and revenue reporting, ideally possessing experience within the financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Calculate all applicable fees (management, performance, and others) owed to group entities.
  • Document and relay rebates and distribution charges to investors.
  • Prepare monthly revenue entries for group entities and cost centers, including accrued income and sales invoices, for review.
  • Assist with various ad hoc requests, such as account analysis.
  • Maintain and improve a robust process for recording income, ensuring the accuracy of the SUN nominal and analysis coding at all times.
  • Utilize Revport (Revenue and Expense management solution) to prepare all management fee invoices, rebate, and distribution fee statements promptly, ensuring proper review and approval.
  • Keep current knowledge of sales contracts, client agreements, and rate cards.
  • Provide technical accounting insights for new revenue arrangements and corporate structures.
  • Actively participate in monthly revenue reporting and forecasting, including comprehensive commentary and variance analysis as required by stakeholders.
  • Conduct sensitivity analysis on management and performance based on various factors such as market conditions, flows, and fee structures.
  • Ensure Finance maintains a comprehensive and accurate database of assets under management, collaborating with other departments to enhance processes and records.
  • Forecast commission structures and collaborate with HR and Business Development on agreements and sales information.
  • Contribute to the annual budgeting process and the five-year plan for revenue streams and associated financials.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and reports to broader business and investment teams.

Qualifications:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) is preferred.
  • Relevant experience in management accounting within the financial services sector.
  • Experience in accounting for income and revenue is advantageous.
  • Availability to start immediately or at short notice is preferred.
