Job Overview

The Billing Operations team plays a crucial role in overseeing the various billing systems and ensuring that all transactions are executed promptly and accurately.

Another significant responsibility is to pinpoint opportunities for enhancing processes to boost efficiency and minimize errors in billing operations.

Key Responsibilities of a Financial Analyst at Visa:

  • Manage segments of gross revenue accounting, billing, and collection processes. This includes preparing necessary information for monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, such as manual entries, journal preparations, balance sheet reconciliations, and subsequent event reporting.
  • Oversee the manual monthly billing operations by collaborating with Product and Service owners to ensure that billing files are accurate, timely, and comprehensive.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of billing processes and controls to mitigate potential billing errors.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements aimed at increasing value and simplifying processes.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, serving as a primary contact for Billing Operations issues.
  • Analyze newly executed contracts to evaluate their billing and accounting implications.
  • Perform setup in the Billing system and all associated databases.
  • Respond to inquiries related to billing, data requests, and issue resolutions.
  • Support the broader Revenue Operations team as required.
  • Assist with ad-hoc analyses and projects as needed.

Importance of this Role at Visa:

The Billing Operations team is essential for delivering client invoices and managing the associated collections. Implementing and maintaining effective processes and systems are vital to achieving this goal.

This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing employees to alternate between remote and office work. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week, as determined by leadership, with a general expectation of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, accounting, auditing, or a related quantitative field.
  • Strong data management skills, including the ability to develop macros, queries, and process automation to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and analysis of manual billing.
  • Proficient in systems such as Excel, PowerPoint, Oracle, and Power BI. Prior experience with Oracle Financials, ORMB, or other billing systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo, demonstrating curiosity and boldness in advocating for changes that add value and reduce manual tasks.
  • Data analysis skills with an aptitude for understanding, interpreting, and investigating data.
  • Detail-oriented with a proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment with minimal supervision.
  • Team-oriented, collaborative, motivated, adaptable, and flexible.
  • Proactive in recognizing and resolving issues.
