Specialty Doctor Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialty Doctor to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) team in Havering. As a Specialty Doctor, you will play a key role in providing senior medical support to our multidisciplinary teams, working with children and young people with mental health needs, and developing links with local acute trusts.
About the Role- Provide senior medical support to the team, including direct input on clinical matters
- Work directly with children and young people and their families, and liaise with other external CAMHS mental health providers and acute services
- Develop links with local acute trusts and inpatient wards
- Supervise junior colleagues and liaise with other health and social professionals and agencies
- Full GMC Registration with a license to practice
- Section 12 certification, or a commitment to work towards this
- Mastery in the management of a broad range of mental disorders in children, including neurodevelopmental disorders
- At least 4 years of full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time basis) of which at least 2 years will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee or shall have equivalent experience and competencies
