Speciality Doctor

North East London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speciality Doctor to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) team in Havering.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a medical professional to work in a dynamic and innovative team, providing high-quality care to children and young people with mental health needs. As a Speciality Doctor, you will be responsible for providing senior medical support to the team, working directly with children and young people, and their families, and liaising with other external CAMHS mental health providers and acute services.
Key Responsibilities- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide care to children and young people with mental health needs.
- Provide senior medical support to the team and direct input on clinical matters.
- Provide guidance and supervision to junior colleagues.
- Work directly with children and young people and their families, and liaise as appropriate with other external CAMHS mental health providers and acute services.
- Develop links with local acute trusts A&E departments and inpatient wards.
- Supervise junior colleagues and liaise with other health and social professionals and agencies.
- Full GMC Registration with a license to practice.
- Section 12 certification, or a commitment to work towards this.
- Mastery in the management of a broad range of mental disorders in children, including neurodevelopmental disorders.
- At least 4 years of full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time basis) of which at least 2 years will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee or shall have equivalent experience and competencies.
