Position Summary

The Packaging Operations Supervisor plays a vital role in our continuous manufacturing processes. This position requires an individual who can lead, mentor, and empower their team to achieve consistent results in the packaging department.

The supervisor will be accountable for all aspects of Safety, Quality, Performance (SQCDSM), and ongoing enhancements. They will foster a culture that prioritizes safety and quality through proactive behaviors, emphasizing a commitment to results and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will prioritize people within the operational framework, demonstrating integrity and recognizing that the sustainability of Safety, Quality, People, and Production is rooted in effective leadership and dedicated team support. They will embody a transformative mindset while maintaining a relentless pursuit of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Safety, Hygiene, Environmental standards, Quality, and Food Safety.
  • Implement established standard operating procedures.
  • Manage the recovery of near-miss incidents and enforce corrective measures.
  • Conduct immediate analysis of Safety incidents and execute short-term corrective actions.
  • Provide feedback and follow-up on process improvements or equipment adjustments.
  • Achieve operational targets consistently.
  • Collaborate with the scheduler to contribute to production planning.
  • Ensure timely updates of operational performance boards.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives for processes and equipment.
  • Support the development of team members through personalized development plans.
  • Cultivate an environment that fosters team commitment and engagement.
  • Anticipate future skill requirements for the organization.
  • Manage team staffing in alignment with established standards.
  • Provide daily coaching on operational and personal development topics.
  • Ensure effective communication of information within the team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in team development and leadership capability building.
  • Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Proficient in applying LEAN methodologies such as VSM, SMED, and KAIZEN to enhance manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships across diverse functions.
  • Degree-level education or equivalent intellectual capability.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or supply chain role, preferably in an FMCG environment.
