Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled and experienced Shift Lead to join our manufacturing team in Banbury. As a critical member of our 24-hour operation, you'll be responsible for leading, coaching, and developing your team to deliver sustainable results across the packaging section.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate your team to achieve operational targets and drive continuous improvement
  • Ensure the recovery of near misses and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe and healthy work environment
  • Collaborate with the scheduler to contribute to the production schedule and ensure the updating of OPS boards
  • Develop and implement safety and quality initiatives to drive a culture of high action orientation and continuous improvement
  • Coach team members daily on operational and personal development topics and ensure quality feedback of information from and to the team
  • Anticipate and recommend future skills needs of the organization and be responsible for the staffing of your team

Requirements

  • Experience in a manufacturing or supply chain role, ideally within an FMCG environment
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to build relationships across functions
  • Ability to apply LEAN tools to improve manufacturing processes and drive continuous improvement
  • Education to degree level or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role
