Construction Manager

A reputable MEP contractor is seeking an experienced MEP Construction Manager to join their team on a commercial project in Cornwall.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure the work meets Authority requirements and Contractors proposals.
- Completion and monitoring of procedural documentation.
- Formulating, developing, and checking construction programmes and monitoring progress.
- Able to develop and integrate short-term programmes to drive the project.
- Coordination of contractors operations at preconstruction and construction stage.
- Proactively support and engage with commercial and design teams.
- Keep Project Manager informed at all times.
- Ensure health & safety risk is eliminated or reduced in construction.
- Set up, implement and monitor quality and environmental systems.
- Review all design for buildability and long-term durability.
- Support the projects CSR BREEAM/DREAM process and submission.
- Leading the construction team; including mentoring of those working in the team.
- Experience in the safe and timely delivery of large scale D&B projects as the construction manager.
- Experience in delivery of high quality projects.
- Good knowledge of building and MEP construction techniques and methodology.
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
- Up to date on Safety legislation and the implementation of such legislation.
- Must hold a full UK driving licence for regular travel.
- Hold CSCS card and SMSTS qualification.
- Technical construction knowledge and commercial appreciation.
- Ability to manage, mentor and lead the team.
This is a senior role and a key part of the project delivery team. Responsible for the delivery of the Mechanical construction elements of the works in particular programme, quality and safety (HSE), reporting directly to the Project Manager/Director.
