We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at Electus Recruitment Solutions. As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in managing the production of composite parts for various industries, including Defence, Aerospace, Simulation, and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a series of new and existing customers to provide a service supplying them quality composite parts, ensuring a sustainable level of profit for the company.
- Coordinate projects through concept to delivery, ensuring clear requirements are established with the customer prior to commencement of manufacture.
- Prepare Engineering Management plans, including estimates for schedule and resource requirements.
- Produce clear work instructions for manufacturing staff and ensure materials are made available in a timely manner.
- Modify existing layup books and sign-off sheets as parts evolve or react to quality issues.
- Work with the quality team to ensure best practices and project manage component manufacture through factory and working with external suppliers as necessary.
- Coordinate part manufacture on the shop-floor with production supervisors and assist with operating and maintaining shop-floor equipment.
- Negotiate variations to contract/job and ensure the accounts department is kept up to date with invoicing, WIP, and assisting with chasing overdue payments.
- Degree-level education in Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.
- Experience with Composite and GRP materials and manufacturing.
- Experience with designing in Siemens NX or Solidworks is highly beneficial.
As a Project Engineer, your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
- A strong understanding of composite materials and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent project management and coordination skills.
- Ability to work effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
