We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Asset Cost Estimator to join our team at Gillespie UK, a leading construction company with a strong presence in the UK and international markets.
Key Responsibilities- Estimate costs for standard and bespoke Zerodec Glass Reinforced Gypsum (GRG) products for the UK construction and interiors industry, with potential to work on major international projects.
- Foster strong relationships with architects, contractors, and potential clients to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Maintain a current estimating database of costings and perform risk analysis to inform business decisions.
- Liaise with Design, Production, and Head of Sales to ensure seamless project execution.
- Attend pre-order and pre-contract meetings with clients to ensure full understanding of project requirements.
- Dispatch tender invitations to contractors and reconcile quotations as necessary.
- Conduct ad hoc site visits to Europe and Ireland to factories and head office to ensure quality control and project oversight.
- Qualified BSc or higher national diploma in a related field of quantity surveying or similar.
- Proven understanding of estimation metrics and data collation.
- Proven commercial awareness and knowledge of the construction industry and processes.
This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday.
