An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Cost Controller to take on a key role within our team at the Fulham Pier.
As a Cost Controller, you will be responsible for monitoring and managing costs related to operations at the Fulham Pier. The primary focus will be on ensuring effective implementation of cost control processes, supporting the business in meeting its financial goals through diligent cost management.
The Fulham Pier will become a hub for the community, offering unique experiences that attract both locals and tourists from around the world. You will be part of a dynamic team that fosters innovation and supports professional growth.
We are seeking a skilled Cost Controller with experience in financial analysis, ideally within a hospitality or events setting. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring daily, weekly, and monthly cost control measures to ensure accuracy in reporting and compliance with budgets;
- Collaborating with various departments to ensure proper allocation and control of costs;
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities and supporting the implementation of efficiency measures;
- Overseeing financial tracking and reporting of costs for all events, matchdays, and other operational activities;
- Ensuring accurate cost allocation across different service lines and ensuring these costs are in line with pre-approved budgets;
- Assisting in forecasting and budgeting processes by providing detailed cost analysis and projections for upcoming events and operational needs;
- Reviewing event costing reports and providing insights to improve cost management, profitability, and efficiency;
- Conducting audits and reviews of stock, labour, and other operational costs to ensure cost control measures are strictly adhered to;
- Working closely with the operations and procurement teams to monitor stock levels and manage wastage;
- Ensuring timely and accurate reporting of cost variances, ensuring corrective actions are taken when necessary;
- Providing detailed cost breakdowns and financial analysis to support the decision-making of the finance and operational teams;
- Ensuring all cost reporting complies with company policies and financial regulations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost control or financial analysis, with experience in tracking operational costs, stock control, and managing budgets. A proficiency in Excel and cost management software is highly desirable.
We offer a competitive salary of £30,000 to £40,000 (depending on experience) plus excellent benefits, including performance-related bonuses, employer pension contributions, life assurance, and a buy and sell holiday scheme.
