Key Responsibilities
  1. Data Analysis: Understand business requirements to identify data sources and support with extract and transform activities.
  2. Data Preparation: Clean and reprocess data to ensure readiness for analysis.
  3. Exploratory Data Analysis: Perform exploratory data analysis to understand trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  4. Data Collection: Collect, clean, and prepare data from structured and unstructured sources for analysis.
  5. Data Interpretation: Analyse, interpret, and report data to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  6. Data Visualization: Create data visualisations and storytelling to represent data findings clearly and effectively.
  7. Collaboration: Collaborate with the Data Governance Lead, business stakeholders, and other roles to build data management, data governance, and data quality assurance.
  8. Insights and Designs: Provide insights and designs for Data Engineers and Performance Insight Analysts.
  9. Ad-hoc Analysis: Undertake ad-hoc data analysis to support business decisions.
  10. Professional Development: Continuously develop personal skills to stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and techniques in data analysis.
Requirements
  1. SQL Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of SQL that can be practically applied.
  2. Programming Skills: Proficient in tools such as SQL, Python, and R for data manipulation and analysis.
  3. UI/UX Design: Strong understanding of UI/UX design concepts.
  4. Data Protection: Working understanding of Data Protection 2018 requirements.
  5. Data Handling: Ability to work with large datasets through data cleaning, reprocessing, and transformation techniques.
  6. Documentation: Ability to document dashboards, standards, data designs, and data models.
  7. Visualisation: Experience in translating complex information and large data sets into graphic or interactive visualisations.
  8. Business Intelligence: Deep understanding of Business Intelligence reporting.
  9. Requirements Translation: Ability to translate business requirements into data modeling / scripting and Qlik front-end development specifications.
  10. Attention to Detail: Attention to detail and a proactive attitude towards project delivery.
  11. Communication: Excellent communication skills, flexible and a team player, self-motivated with a positive "get-it-done" approach.
  12. Stakeholder Liaison: Ability to liaise with a broad range of stakeholders to capture complex requirements and translate them into data storytelling.
  13. Organisational Skills: Strong organisational skills and experience in prioritising work to meet project deadlines.
  14. Data Knowledge: Working knowledge of Data Analysis, Data Governance principles, Data Quality, Data Warehousing, and Information Governance.
  15. ETL Principles: Experience with enterprise-level data infrastructure and knowledge of ETL principles.
  16. Communication of Complex Data: Ability to convey complex data findings to both technical and business executives.

  1. Salary: Salary circa £50-60,000 dependant on experience.
